One way to have a more organized home would be to make use of a pegboard. That way you can minimize the shelf space. Some other tips include;

9 Organizing Hacks To Try Out In Your Home

With all that has been said so far, these are some really cool, really easy to try, organizing hacks that you could try out in your homes;

Organizing Hacks for The Bedroom

The bedroom, for me, is the most important room in the home. It is your comfort spot, where you lay your head to rest after a very stressful or boring day.

Walking home into a messy bedroom isn’t something we would like, so this section focuses on some simple organizing hacks you can try out in your bedrooms.

  1. Make Use Of An “S” Hook In Your Wardrobes

Simply having a big shelf isn’t enough when organizing clothing items such as jeans. You would also want to get easy access to your favorite pick.

Simply folding your denim pairs and stacking them on top of each other might be a little organized, but what happens when you need to head out quickly and you are searching for camouflage pants amidst a huge pile of stacked and folded jeans?

Exactly! This is why you should get an s hook. It is quite cheap and can easily fit into any shelf or wardrobe. With S hooks, not only do you get easy access to your jeans, you also help keep them crisp and free from wrinkles.

S hooks can also be used for other items of clothing such as neck-ties and a lot more. They are quite smart and help you lead an organized life.

  1. Roll Not Fold

Folding clothing items like your T-shirts or tank tops and stacking them on each other still presents can still provide some issues with ease of access and space management.

Instead, it is a lot better to roll your T-shirts and Tank tops. That way you get to save a lot more space in your wardrobe or drawers and keep your clothing items free from wrinkles.

Aside from saving space, rolling up your tees also helps with getting easy access to them as they would not be stacked up on each other.

To roll your T-shirts, you would need to fold your shirt to half of its original length. Fold it again and then roll it up till it looks like a sushi roll.

You can also roll up other items of clothing like neckties, belts, underwear, and socks. Just ensure they are kept in a clean drawer.

  1. Make Use OF Peg Boards

Peg Boards are champs when it comes to organizing your living spaces (not just the bedroom). They are quite helpful as they present a wide list of items that can be stored safely there.

Some of these items range from jewelry to accessories and even photos. They are quite easy to purchase or make and can offer some form of aesthetic effect to your home.

We mostly recommend using the peg board to store items like jewelry. Not only does it help in providing easy access to them, but it also helps prevent the annoying tangling that jewelry tends to get into when stored in a box.

If you are going to get a peg board hung up on your wall, you definitely should get one that matches the colors of your walls or furniture.

Organizing Hacks for The Living Room

The living room is most likely where you would be hosting or rather, entertaining your visitors. Having an organized living room not only helps you feel much more relaxed, but it also says a lot about what your guests and visitors think of you.

  1. . Use A Hidden Storage Furniture

This is more of a very important hack that would be needed especially in situations where there is a surprise visitor on your porch.

We’ve often been in situations where a friend or colleague pays us an unexpected visit before we even have the chance to declutter our space.

Well, this is why this hack is so important. Getting a piece of furniture (perhaps a couch or sofa) can make all the difference in the world when it comes to handling these situations.

You can quickly store anything ranging from throw pillows to clothing items to remotes, phone cords, and anything that could help for a quick declutter.

  1. Hide All Wires And Cords

One of the most unappealing features of a living room for me would be seeing cords and wires belonging to electronic items.

Not only are they a trip hazard, but they also kill the beauty of the living room space and are the complete opposite of organized.

Keep them away from sight by running them behind shelves or furniture. You can make use of an adhesive wall hook for this.

Another great item that you can make use of would be an ornamental box. They can be used to hide extension cords and sockets and can be disguised to look like a decor.

For TV cords or lamps, you can make use of a zip cord. Organize it and keep it behind a furniture item to camouflage it and present a decluttered living room.

  1. Add Storages Under Your Staircases

You can never have too many storage options in your house and if your living room does come with some staircases, why not turn it into a storage unit?

The space under a staircase can make a great storage unit, where things ranging from small unused furniture can be kept there.

You can also convert it to a shelf or bookcase where items like books can be stored for easy access to them.

And depending on the actual size of the staircase, you can make a mini playroom for your kids. Just be sure to check for the safety of the staircase before doing so. You have lots of options so always learn to explore.

Organizing Hacks For The Kitchen

Cooking on its own can be stressful. But cooking in an unorganized kitchen does take the word “stressful” to a whole new level. Follow these tips to have an organized kitchen space.

  1. Develop A Labeling System

Confused about what item is which? Or where such an item has been kept? These things are quite common in the kitchen, especially during the process of cooking.

Cooking can be enjoyable but only when you have your mind in it. A decluttered kitchen doesn’t help with that, so it’s a great idea to develop your labeling system.

Label everything that might be confusing, from jars filled with tea herbs to entire cupboards filled with spoons or plates.

Labels are quite easy to make, you can simply make use of a temporary marker, or if you need a less messy form of labeling, make use of sticky notes or label stickers.

This would save you a lot of time, especially time spent looking for items that ordinarily you shouldn’t be looking for.

  1. Hang Your Pans and Pots From The Ceiling

Pots and pans might eat up a lot of cabinet space due to their size varieties and shapes. This would definitely mean you getting a larger cabinet just to accommodate more pans and pots.

However, you can easily get an overhead rack and hang your pans and pots from there. They have a suitable hook so you won’t have to worry about large pots and pans dropping from the ceiling.

You can also store other kitchen items like cooking utensils on the Overhead rack. This would help with cabinet space which can be used for more kitchen items and create a decluttered kitchen for easy cooking.

Overhead racks can also help add some style to your kitchen. However, you have to ensure they are installed properly so as to avoid damage from a loose screw.

  1. Use Kitchen Magnets for Storage

Kitchen magnets can be very useful, especially for creating extra storage spaces for your trivial kitchen items.

A good example would be the use of kitchen magnets to append small but metallic spice bottles to cabinet doors.

They can also be used for storing items like knives. If you don’t have any extra space on your knife block. Consider using kitchen magnets to store knives.

However, it is important that you use a strong magnet, you don’t want a scenario where your knives are dropping.

With these few tips, you should be able to have a more organized space in your home. They are quite easy to implement and in most cases, budget-friendly.

With that being said, do remember to kick out all forms of procrastination and start living an organized life today.
